EU coffee quality standards include moisture content (max 12.5% for green coffee), defect count, and bean size. Specialty coffee grades include Strictly Hard Bean, Hard Bean, and European Preparation. Indonesian coffee includes Gayo, Toraja, and Kintamani origins.

US FDA Requirements

Coffee imported into the US must comply with FDA food safety regulations. Ochratoxin A limits are enforced. Products must be properly labeled with country of origin and meet FDA standards for food additives and contaminants.
